Water You Doing Reference des Commandes

Chaque raccourci pour clavier, souris et manette — tout en un seul endroit.

Dernière mise à jour:

Water You Doing? supports both keyboard/mouse and full controller input. Controls are accessible and reasonably intuitive, but the game does have a deep control system with modes, toggles, and remapping options. This page documents every control in the game.

Keyboard & Mouse Controls

Movement & Navigation

  • W / A / S / D — Ship movement (forward, left, backward, right). Controls steering and speed.
  • Mouse — Aim direction for harpoon and other targeted actions.
  • Space — Brake / slow down. Reduces speed and gives more control in tight spaces.
  • Shift — Sprint / boost. Uses more fuel but moves faster.

Actions

  • Left Click — Fire harpoon. Aim with mouse cursor.
  • Right Click — Alternate harpoon function (deflector mode on some upgrades).
  • E — Interact / pick up items. Context-sensitive action with objects, NPCs, and the environment.
  • F — Toggle repair mode. Switches the E key from interact to patch mode.
  • Q — Use consumable item (health potion, etc.).
  • R — Reload harpoon manually. Harpoons auto-reload but manual reload can be faster in critical moments.
  • Tab — Open inventory. View fish, resources, and equipment.
  • M — Open map. See your location, nearby docks, and hazard zone markers.
  • Escape — Pause menu. Access settings, save, and quit options.

Camera

  • Scroll Wheel — Zoom in and out.
  • Middle Mouse — Reset camera to default position.

Controller Controls

The game has full controller support with confirmed DualShock, DualSense, and generic gamepad compatibility.

Movement & Navigation

  • Left Stick — Ship movement. Same as WASD.
  • Right Stick — Aim direction for harpoon.
  • L2 / Left Trigger — Brake / slow down.
  • R2 / Right Trigger — Fire harpoon.

Actions

  • X / Square — Interact / pick up items.
  • Circle — Toggle repair mode.
  • Triangle — Use consumable item.
  • Square (hold) — Reload harpoon manually.
  • Touchpad / View Button — Open inventory.
  • Options / Menu Button — Open map.
  • PS Button / Guide Button — Pause menu.

Camera

  • R3 / Right Stick Click — Reset camera to default position.

Control Remapping

Both keyboard and controller bindings can be remapped:

  1. Open the Settings menu (Escape on PC, Options on controller).
  2. Navigate to Controls.
  3. Select the action you want to rebind.
  4. Press the new key or button you want to assign.

Note that some actions have mutually exclusive bindings — you cannot assign two actions to the same input.

Audio Controls

The game features custom volume controls separate from the system volume:

  • Master Volume — Overall game audio.
  • Music Volume — Background music.
  • SFX Volume — Sound effects including gameplay audio cues.
  • Voice Volume — Character voices and dialogue.

Custom volume controls are useful for players who need to hear gameplay cues clearly but find the music overwhelming.

Tips for Control Setup

  • Solo players — Consider mapping repair toggle to an easily accessible button since you will switch in and out of repair mode frequently.
  • Controller players — The default trigger mapping for harpoon fire (R2) and brake (L2) is intuitive. Only change it if you have a specific ergonomic preference.
  • Co-op host — Make sure your crew knows the control layout before starting a session. Disagreements about controls mid-chaos can cause confusion.

FAQ

Questions fréquentes

Réponses rapides aux questions les plus courantes.

Can I use a racing wheel or flight stick?

The game has not been tested with racing wheels or flight sticks. Standard keyboard/mouse and gamepads are the supported input methods.

Is there aim assist for keyboard players?

There is no explicit aim assist for mouse aiming. Some harpoon upgrades add subtle magnetic targeting, but this is a separate mechanic from platform-level aim assist.

Can I play with keyboard and controller simultaneously?

No. The game detects the primary input method at launch and uses that for all controls. You cannot mix and match mid-session.

Does the game support keybinds for co-op communication?

There are no dedicated voice communication keybinds in the game. Communication relies on external voice chat (Discord, Steam chat, etc.) or the game's built-in voice if available.
