Configuration Requise de Water You Doing?
Votre PC peut-il le faire tourner? Specifications minimales et recommandees officielles a l'interieur.
Water You Doing? is built on Unreal Engine and is designed to run on modest hardware. The game launched on August 26, 2026, and is available exclusively on Steam for Windows. This page documents the official system requirements.
Minimum Requirements
- OS: Windows 10 or Windows 11 (64-bit)
- Processor: Intel Core i5-6300HQ or AMD Ryzen 3 1200
- Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 950M 4GB or AMD RX 550 Mobile 4GB
- DirectX: Version 11
- Storage: 4 GB available space
- Sound Card: Any
The minimum requirements suggest the game is designed to run on older mid-range laptops and desktops. A GTX 950M is a mobile GPU from 2015, so most modern gaming PCs will exceed the minimum easily.
Recommended Requirements
- OS: Windows 10 or Windows 11 (64-bit)
- Processor: Intel Core i5-9400F or AMD Ryzen 5 3600
- Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060 6GB or AMD RX 5600 XT 6GB
- DirectX: Version 12
- Storage: 6 GB available space
- Sound Card: Any
The recommended specs are moderate by 2026 standards. An RTX 2060 was a mid-range GPU in 2019 and remains capable for most modern games at good settings. Most gaming PCs purchased in the last three to four years should meet or exceed these requirements.
Storage and Installation
The game requires approximately 4–6 GB of storage depending on whether you install the full version or demo. Installation is through Steam — standard download and automatic update process. The full installation includes all game assets, soundtrack files, and localisation data. The demo is a separate download that does not count toward the full game install size.
Graphics Settings
In-game graphics settings allow customisation for:
- Resolution — All standard resolutions up to 4K supported, including 1440p and ultrawide 21:9 ratios.
- Texture Quality — Low, Medium, High, Ultra. Textures affect water rendering quality and object detail.
- Shadow Quality — Low, Medium, High. Shadows impact performance significantly on lower-end hardware.
- Particle Effects — Low, Medium, High. Controls water splashes, fish behaviour effects, and hazard visuals.
- Vsync — On/Off. Enable to prevent screen tearing at the cost of slight input lag.
- FPS Cap — Options include 30, 60, 120, and Unlimited. Capping to 60 is recommended for laptops.
- Fullscreen / Windowed / Borderless — All supported. Borderless is useful for alt-tabbing during co-op sessions.
Expected Performance
Based on community reports and early gameplay sessions:
- Minimum spec PCs — Expect 30 FPS at low settings in 1080p. Some slowdown in busy scenes with multiple hazards, particle effects, and co-op players simultaneously active.
- Recommended spec PCs — 60 FPS at high settings in 1080p consistently. Can push into 1440p with some settings reduction or by lowering shadow and particle quality.
- High-end PCs — 60+ FPS at ultra settings in 1440p or 4K. Some headroom remains for even higher frame rates on RTX 3070 and above.
Controller Performance
Controller performance is generally equivalent to keyboard/mouse performance. The game uses Unreal Engine’s standard input handling, so there is no meaningful input lag difference between input methods. DualSense haptics are supported on PlayStation controllers connected via Steam Input.
Network and Online Play
Water You Doing? requires an active internet connection for online co-op. The game does not support offline multiplayer — every co-op session is online through Steam’s networking infrastructure. Required ports are the standard Steam client ports (27014–27015 TCP/UDP). No additional firewall configuration is typically needed.
Known Technical Issues
Early player reports note the following:
- Some texture flickering on minimum settings — Rare, more common on older integrated GPUs. Fixed in patches post-launch.
- Occasional physics glitches with harpoon-object collisions — Rare physics desync where a harpoon passes through a sea mine without detonating it. Being addressed by developers.
- Steam Cloud save conflicts — Can occur when playing on multiple PCs with different save states. Workaround: manually sync save files from the local directory.

Questions fréquentes
Réponses rapides aux questions les plus courantes.
Is there a Mac version?
No. Water You Doing? is currently Windows only. The SteamDB and store listings show no macOS or Linux support.
Does the game support ultrawide monitors?
Yes. The game supports all standard aspect ratios including 21:9 ultrawide monitors.
Can I run it on integrated graphics?
Unlikely at acceptable performance. The minimum GPU requirement is a dedicated GTX 950M or RX 550, which are older dedicated mobile GPUs. Integrated graphics from that era would not meet the bar.
Does the game support ray tracing?
The game uses DirectX 11 and 12 but ray tracing support has not been confirmed. The recommended GPU (RTX 2060) supports ray tracing, but the game may not expose ray tracing options.
